RESERVATION CONDITIONS
- Once an order is placed on the website, it will be taken over by an operator and processed. You will receive by email your order number, confirmation of availability, and all related details, as well as the next steps to finalize the booking. The reply may arrive within a few minutes or up to a maximum of 24 hours.
- Depending on fleet occupancy, advance payments may be required to guarantee reservations.
PICK-UP CONDITIONS
- We are available for pick-up or drop-off outside business hours (Mon–Fri: 08:00–18:00; Sat–Sun: CLOSED). For this service, a delivery fee of €10 applies.
- Vehicles are handed over with a full tank and clean inside and out.
- Fuel costs are not included in the rental price.
- Minimum rental period: 2 days.
- For rentals longer than 3 days, mileage is unlimited.
- For rentals shorter than 3 days, the daily tariff includes 300 km/day; extra kilometers are charged at €0.1 / km.
- The renter must be at least 21 years old on the contract date (ID/passport required) and hold a valid driving licence with at least 1 year of experience. Our vehicles cannot be rented by beginner drivers. For premium classes the minimum age is 23 and at least 2 years’ experience in category B is required.
- Leaving the country with the rented vehicle is strictly prohibited.
PAYMENT TERMS
- At vehicle pick-up:

- By bank transfer, in advance, so that funds are received before the client collects the vehicle.
Rental rates are set in EUR. The rental amount is invoiced in RON at the BCR exchange rate on the invoicing day.
DEPOSIT AND INSURANCE
At contract signature, the client may choose:
Full CASCO Insurance (optional)
- Designed to cover unforeseen incidents and provide protection in case of an accident. This optional insurance eliminates the deposit (Deposit becomes €0) and ensures you pay nothing if the car is damaged due to the client’s fault or by an unknown party.
- Available for bookings of at least 4 days.
- Not eligible for Full CASCO (Deposit €0): clients under 23 or over 65 years of age.
Deposit
- The deposit varies between €300 and €1,300 depending on the vehicle class and will be blocked (pre-authorised) on the client’s credit/debit card until the vehicle is returned. A POS receipt will confirm the block. Upon return, a cancellation receipt is issued for the blocked amount. The pre-authorisation does not incur any cost to the client.
- The deposit may be used to cover damages in case of interior/exterior damage, theft of vehicle parts, loss of documents or keys. The amount is returned when the vehicle is returned in good working order, with all documents, accessories, and equipment received at pick-up.
Full CASCO DOES NOT COVER situations where the CLIENT:
a) Drove under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any other substances prohibited by law;
b) Did not stop the vehicle IMMEDIATELY after an accident/incident, causing additional damage;
c) In case of accident, did not notify the Police or other competent authorities and did not obtain an official report;
d) Did not notify RentKraft within 12 hours of the incident and did not complete, upon return, a written statement regarding the circumstances;
e) Drove on roads not marked on the Official Map of Romania, unpaved or damaged (forestry roads), on closed roads, in flooded areas, or when crossing watercourses, resulting in damage to the rented vehicle;
f) Used the vehicle inappropriately (contrary to manufacturer specs) or destructively, causing damage to the engine, gearbox, clutch, wheels/tyres, or the interior;
g) Allowed, with or without consent, the vehicle to be driven by a person not authorised by RentKraft in the Rental Agreement;
h) Fuelled the vehicle with a different fuel than indicated by the manufacturer (as per the registration certificate), which entails the CLIENT covering towing, repairs, correct refuelling, and time the vehicle is immobilised in service.
The deposit will be collected by RentKraft in the following cases:
- Inadequate maintenance or use of the vehicle leading to damage or defects (dents, scratches, stained upholstery, engine seizure, and any other technical faults identified by an authorised service);
- Damage caused by persons not authorised to drive the vehicle and not listed in the agreement;
- Damage (accidents) to the rented vehicle, recorded by the Police as being the Client’s fault or by an unknown party (including the situation where the vehicle is found damaged in a parking lot);
- Loss of the registration certificate, keys, or accessories listed in the handover form.
RETURN CONDITIONS
- Vehicle return takes place at the location, date, and time indicated by the client in the booking form and stated in the Rental Agreement.
- For notified delays of up to 1 hour, no extra fee applies. For notified delays greater than 1 hour, an additional fee equal to one full day at the list daily rate applies. The “list rate” is the one-day rate for the rented vehicle’s class.
CANCELLATION POLICY
A prepaid booking can be cancelled under the following conditions:
a) If the pick-up date/time is more than 48 hours from the cancellation moment, the full prepaid amount will be refunded to the client (within a maximum of 14 business days) minus €50. The €50 covers bank fees and logistical costs;
b) If the pick-up date/time is less than 48 hours from the cancellation moment, the prepaid amount is non-refundable.
All cancellations of prepaid bookings must be submitted in writing to rezervari@rentkraft.
RENTKRAFT OBLIGATIONS
- To transfer to the Client the right of use over the vehicle by handing over the keys and copies of the vehicle documents, the registration certificate, the compulsory liability insurance (RCA), and the road tax (rovinieta).
- To deliver the vehicle to the Client immediately after signing the contract and making payment, in good working order and according to the manufacturer’s technical standards, based on a handover form.
- To replace the vehicle with another one if it has suffered damage that cannot be repaired on the spot, provided the damage is not the Client’s fault. If RentKraft considers the Client at fault (in whole or in part), RentKraft is no longer obliged to provide a replacement vehicle and the agreement is terminated.
- To guarantee peaceful use of the vehicle when the Client has fully complied with their obligations.
- From handover until repossession, RentKraft is exempt from liability for damage caused to third parties by the rented vehicle, as well as for fines and fees arising from abusive parking, traffic violations, or breaches of Romanian law.
CLIENT OBLIGATIONS
- To collect and return the vehicle in the same condition, as per the handover/return forms, and to return the key set in good condition. In case of loss or damage to the keys, a €200 fee applies.
- Not to use the vehicle for taxi services, driving school, distribution, motor sports, security/protection activities, transport of hazardous/inflammable substances, pushing or towing activities.
- Not to allow other persons to drive the vehicle except those listed in the rental agreement.
- Not to sell, sublet, or otherwise dispose of the vehicle beyond what is agreed in this contract.
- To cover all damages to the vehicle and/or third parties caused by the Client while committing any offences under applicable law, including driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs, psychoactive substances, or medication with similar effects. If the damage results in the vehicle being unusable during repairs, the deposited guarantee will be withheld.
- If the Client is a legal entity, the vehicle may only be driven by persons at least 21 years old who hold a category B licence with at least 1 year’s experience.
- To return the vehicle at the agreed time and conditions; to cover all costs of returning the vehicle if the place of return is not respected.
- In case of theft, to report the incident to the Police and hand over to RentKraft the vehicle key and documents for the stolen vehicle.
Situations treated as theft committed by or with the Client’s complicity:
- Exceeding the return deadline by more than 24 hours without a written extension agreed by both parties;
- Failure to notify the Police of the vehicle’s disappearance and lack of Police confirmation of the complaint;
- Failure to notify the Police of the vehicle’s disappearance, lack of Police confirmation, and failure to present the original key/documents.
EXTENSION, TERMINATION, AND CANCELLATION OF THE AGREEMENT
- The rental agreement can be extended by mutual consent through an addendum.
- The Client’s intention to extend must be communicated to RentKraft at least 24 hours before the agreement expires.
